Our Gypsy boots are handmade by an Indigenous Guatemalan family of shoe-makers with three generations of experience. The soles are a combination of compressed leather and reclaimed car-tyres, which can be resoled and can last up to 30 years if cared for well.

Antique hand-embroidered blouses with Mayan symbology are recycled to create a one-of-a-kind boot with a unique combination of external embroidered fabric and a thick, hand-woven cotton tongue.

Like all quality leather boots, these need to be worn in and stretched to your exact foot shape. They are suitable for all feet type, but wider feet but may take more time to wear-in.

A pair of soft inner soles are provided to place back in once the boots are stretched and comfortable. With the option of wearing in two unique styles, once worn in, these boots are sure to become your favourite choice of shoe wear all year round.

These "two-in-one" boots can be worn at full height or rolled down using the press studs and worn as ankle boots.

Beautiful, unique, stylish and sturdy

I bought these boots because I love the fact that they are handmade and use traditional embroidery with images that are connected to nature and human’s need to depict such images in the objects they create.
They feel and look, elegant and casual at the same time. They are reminiscent of the women’s boot of the Victorian era, but with an earthiness, both in look, style and in the way they are made. I love that they could be repaired if need be and are not a throwaway item.
These boots took about a week to feel completely comfortable, but once they had softened a bit, they fitted beautifully.

They look great with skirts, jeans, dresses and shorts. They are very unique and practical. I love them
